 The award recently won by Eye of Africa Golf & Residential Estate as Business of the Year in the Midvaal region, is testament of the hard work, dedication and commitment by everyone involved in the estate. Over the years, we have worked together to ensure we are indeed “South Africa’s Best”, and to receive this recognition and acknowledgement is something that we can all share and be proud of. “I wish to thank everybody involved in the estate; from our staff, our homeowners, builders, sales agents and all our contractors for their contributions this year. 2011 has truly been a phenomenal year at Eye of Africa. | Midvaal Business of the Year |
Eye of Africa Golf & Residential Estate in Eikenhof South of Johannesburg, recently received the award as joint winner of the 2011 Midvaal Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year. This prestigious award was handed over by the Midvaal Mayor, Cllr Timothy Nast during a gala event held at the Lords Signature Boutique Hotel in Vereeniging on Friday November 11, 2011.

| Golf Day at Eye of Africa in aid of the development of children |
Golfers recently participated in a charity golf day at Eye of Africa Golf & Leisure Club in their bid to improve the lives of young children in the area.
The Ikhaya Youth Day Care in Eikenhof was the beneficiary of the day and monies raised with this event will now be used to finish the roof of a newly-built crèche in Tinazonke in Klipriver.
Ikhaya, which means “Our House” was started seven years ago by Minnie Pienaar from Eikenhof as a Sunday School held for 2 children an hour every Saturday. It didn’t take long for the Sunday School to grow to more than 140 children that are now attending every Sunday for almost the whole day.
“Our work didn’t stop there and we started building much needed creches in the area. Ikhaya is linked to 20 creches in Le Hae adjacent to Lenasia, Eikenhof, Tinazonke, Thokoza, Vosloorus and Meyerton”. Meals are provided for the children at these facilities on a daily basis. The crèches also serve as pre-school education and teachers all undergo a comprehensive educational training programme.
Says Mark McGovern, project director at Eye of Africa; “Minnie arrived on our doorsteps, asking for help in her ongoing effort to raise funds to feed and educate these children. The best way for us to assist was to offer her our Golf & Leisure Club facilities to help her generate much needed funds. We are keenly aware of the hardships and needs of our local communities and believe in being a responsible corporate citizen and assisting where we can.’

- If you plan on going away on holiday, please keep us informed so that our security officers on duty over the holiday period can regularly patrol your house to ensure all is safe;
- Please ensure you complete a Holiday House Visit Form that is obtainable from the security offices at the main gate, to update your contact details, should we need to contact you in an emergency.
