Eye of Africa has officially launched the first Greg Norman designed golf course to be completed in South Africa. Residents were exclusively invited to be the first to play championship golf course over a weekend in April, 2010. The vision and standards set by Medallist for all their international lifestyle golf developments guarantees a 5-star golfing experience for players.
Designed exclusively by Greg Norman Golf Course Design, the championship golf course at Eye of Africa is the talking point amongst Johannesburg's golfers. From the first tee to the eighteenth green, Greg Norman and his expert team have endeavoured to seamlessly integrate the course with its stunning natural surrounds and included extensive bunkering.
The design weaves up and down rolling terrain, is played as a continuous loop and encompasses an overall distance of 6,895 metres. The course is a Par 72, 18-hole championship golf course with a professional, elevated tee box on each, allowing players to challenge their own skills.
Only Eye of Africa Golf & Leisure Club members and their guests may play the golf course which is open from Wednesdays to Sundays. For more information on memberships please contact Ruwan Combrink on 082 924 4961 or via email. To book a round of golf contact Johan Potgieter on 082 927 0388. Eye of Africa’s pro shop can be reached on 010 500 0300 and is open from Wednesdays to Sundays and closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
A Pro Shop is located next to The Stables Coffee Shop and includes Greg Norman and Eye of Africa apparel for sale.
